Mass immigration and Joe Biden’s mishandling of the economy have more than a quarter of young, professional adults thinking about moving back in with their parents. Gen Zers, in particular, are having an incredibly difficult time making a living under “Bidenomics,” although a lot of Millennials are also being crushed.

A new poll from Intuit Credit Karma finds that 31% of GenZers are still living with their parents because it’s too expensive to rent their first apartment. Even those who are able to make ends meet on their own are barely scraping by and are thinking of moving back home. 27% of Gen Zers say they can no longer afford their rent, and 25% are seriously considering moving back in with mom and dad. The price of rent has increased by more than 20% in many states since the pandemic, while American wages have been stagnant thanks to Joe Biden’s mass immigration.

Millennials aren’t much better off. 30% say their rent is too high, and 25% want to move back in with their parents. This is a catastrophe because if young people are still living at home, it means they’re not getting married, having children of their own, and propagating the species.

The polling by Intuit Credit Karma basically matches the findings of the US Census Bureau and Pew Research. These were different surveys, but they all point to the same reason: the cost of housing in America has exploded while wages have basically remained unchanged.

As Gen Zers are just beginning their careers, many have starting salaries that simply aren’t enough to cover rent, which now averages close to $2,000 per month nationwide (up from $1,650 per month before the pandemic). The problem is only expected to get worse as Joe Biden allows several million additional illegal aliens into the country during his last year in office.
