If you know anything about Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, it’s that he’s got his hand in a lot of pies. Sure, he’s given up control of his former computer company. But did you know he owns over $1 billion in American farmland?
And the underlying reason why should worry us all.
If you ask him, he’ll tell you it’s all for the planet. After all, he’s one of the planet’s most affluent ‘climate crisis’ sympathizers.
But as author and investigative journalist, Seamus Bruner explains in his most recent book “Controligarchs,” there are deeper reasons for spending so much on America’s dwindling farmland.
According to Bruner, the ultimate plan is to control food production in the United States.
As Fox News reported, Bruner writes, “The takeover of the food system, like so many other control schemes in this book, began with the Rockefellers and was advanced by Bill Gates.”
He goes on to explain that the Rockefellers, with their generational wealth, did a great to supposedly ‘giving back,’ as so many other rich elites do. One way in which they did so was to create a research program in the 1940s called the Green Revolution. At its core was an aim to combat starvation and poverty.
And, to be sure, it did move a few mountains on that front, including sparking a worldwide revolution that created farming advancements such as pesticide-resistant crops. Naturally, things like this paved the way for people from all over the world to begin growing (and keeping) bountiful harvests.
However, as Bruner explains, like most innovations, it also created a few new problems. Namely, it made “the consolidation of small-scale and family-owned farms into giant corporate-controlled farms” more widespread.
Naturally, this is where Gates comes in.
With his billions, Gates has since bought tens of thousands of acres of what used to be small family farms. Now, they are conglomerates without peers.
The end result is basically a bunch of rich dudes who know nothing about farming or agriculture making all the decisions on massive swatches of American farmland that is used and our food is produced.
But that’s only part of the problem.
Another is that in addition to simply owning and controlling the land, Gates and his ilk have been putting out patents on farming products and the like for just as long. You know, things like patented seeds, patented fertilizers, and, as Bruner points out, they are even patenting meat alternatives now.
Of course, all these new patents are supposed to be more “climate-friendly” and green, which is right up the current left-leaning government’s alley. So when these liberal government heads decide to crack down on more traditional products, it’s those like Gates who win. And they win big.
Then again, they don’t even have to wait for the government to be on their side.
As I mentioned before, Gates and others like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, etc., have been doing this for a while now.
Additionally, when they buy land, they aren’t just getting control of how it is farmed. They also get rights to the water below ground.
“In addition to farms (and the irrigation) and fertilizer, Gates has been hunting for sizable interests in water and water treatment – a crucial component when seeking to control the agricultural industry,” Bruner says.
So if Gates and his friends own everything (land, water, agricultural products, etc.), they get to make all the decisions on ‘saving the planet’ with or without the government’s say-so.
At the end of the day, there will be no small family farms anymore, and what Gates wants us to eat and produce will be the only things available. He’ll make sure of it.
As you can tell, this has nothing to do with actually saving the planet; it’s all about control. Because the more control he has, the more he gets to line his pockets – as if he doesn’t have enough already.
